Dear fellow families,
We have completed serial testing for all our residents yesterday (besides those that have tested positive in the past 90 days). 6 residents have tested positive. They are all cohorted on the 2nd floor in our positive cohort. We will stop testing our residents on the 1st and 3rd floor unless one has any symptoms and/or if there is a case amongst residents or staff on the unit. 8 additional staff members has tested positive (1 of which is a direct care staff member).
Please be aware that each family is notified individually of Covid-19 positive results and any other change in a resident’s condition. Our staff will be calling designated family members with current updates on those who are positive. We are doing our best to provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to all to your loved ones.
As you may still visit at this time, we ask that if you can, try to limit or stop visiting until things calm down. When visiting a unit that is on a quarantine/isolation precaution (2nd and 4th floor) you are required to wear PPE (which will be provided by the facility) when entering the room, please read the CDC instructions on how to properly don and doff the PPE located on the resident’s door. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms or tested positive for Covid-19 please do not visit.
As a reminder, you can find all our Covid-19 updates on our Website.
Those affected by the snow be careful out there! Stay safe everyone! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Warmest regards,
Mr. Harvey Bauer, LNHA
