Dear fellow families,
We regret to inform you that limited visitation will be on hold until January 25, unless otherwise notified. Three residents and one staff member has tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. New York State Department of Health requires us to halt limited visitation for 14 days from the date the individual was tested.
Please note that each affected family was notified individually. All positive residents are currently quarantined and cohorted in a designated area. All residents on the affected units were tested yesterday for Cvoid-19 and there are no other positives. As a precaution, all residents on the affected units are being monitored very closely.
As of this week, staff Covid-19 testing went from once a week to twice a week per NYS DOH guidelines. All of our residents will now be tested every 3-7 days for 14 days. We continue staying in close contact with New York State Department of Health and inform them of what’s going on at the facility to ensure that our residents and staff are safe.
We will continue to have virtual visits via our Recreation department and our whole compliment of staff are willing to help you out with any questions or concerns any of you might have. We encourage families to send care packages for their loved ones that include a photo of the sender to be used at a memory prompt. We ask families to send video messages that can be replayed. Send via whatsapps to 347-802-6042.
To schedule/coordinate or questions about resident communication; please reach out to the social worker or our recreation director.
